As in previous years, we have taken advantage of the celebration of the “World IP Day” to announce the winner of the GALBAHE Award.

Nagore Abrisketa, from Vicinay Marine Innovación, has received the GALBAHE 2023 Award for best inventor. The award is more than deserved for her career as an inventor, as she appears in nine patent families already published. However, after receiving the trophy, she did not want to forget her colleagues and highlighted the contribution of the Design Area’s team in the process of developing new inventions.

Nagore attended the first edition of the Specialisation Course on Patents in Business, organised by Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa in collaboration with SPRI, the Basque Government, Innobasque and the Enterprise Europe Network. Since then, she has not only been concerned with inventing, but also with managing the protection of the inventions that have been developed within her organisation, as well as other aspects related to patents. In this sense, Nagore is the ideal interlocutor for those of us who advise on IP matters, as she knows the world of patents, we speak the same language and she works with us with a closeness that makes us feel part of her team. Nagore has become a point of reference in IP matters within the Vicinay Group.
